I design for the quiet wins.

Hi there! 👋 I'm Dinesh, a senior UX designer crafting calm, operational software for the analysts, account managers, and ops teams who live inside mortgage and financial workflows.

My journey began in code, but I was drawn to design, where curiosity turns into structure and structure turns into something a team can actually use on a Tuesday.

I design for the quiet wins: the escalation email that never gets sent, the report found in one click, the status meeting that stops being necessary.

Now senior UX designer at Onity, open to senior IC roles in B2B and fintech.

How I Work

Four words, one operating manual.

01

Curious

I'd rather ask one more question than ship one extra screen. The problem usually hides behind the second "why."

02

Calm

Operational software should make a Tuesday quieter, not louder. Restraint is a design decision.

03

Specific

Generic insights belong in textbooks. I aim for the smallest true sentence the team needs to act on.

04

Useful

Beauty without use is decoration. The win is when an analyst tells me their Tuesday got quieter, not when a screenshot lands on Dribbble.

My Manifesto

Beliefs I keep coming back to.

Structure first, pretty second.
Years of graphic design taught me the visual is the easy part. The hard part is what has to be true before the visual is allowed to land. If the information architecture is wrong, no font choice fixes it. So I start with the spine, then dress it up.
I design for quieter workflows.
Enterprise UX rarely gives you a delightful moment. The win is a 4pm escalation email that never gets sent. Calm interactions, signal density, and small wins that compound over a quarter. That's the work.
Watch them work.
Most insight lives in the actual moment someone tries to do their job. I'd rather sit next to an analyst at 9am when she opens her spreadsheet than read about it in a research transcript at 4pm. The real interface is the workaround they already built.
Progress over pixels.
If a sketchy lo-fi gets the team unblocked, that beats a polished mockup that ships next quarter. Momentum is the most underrated design system. I optimize for the next decision, not the next reel.
I build with AI, and own the calls.
I prototype, draft, and recreate confidential screens with AI as a co-pilot. It moves fast; the judgment stays mine. Every decision, trade-off, and number in this portfolio is something I made and can defend in a room, and I am glad to screen-share and walk through how I direct the tools on a live screen.
